So I needed to do some spell work that was just for me hence the lack of magic recently. I’ve made some significant shifts to my practice largely influenced by the wonderful witchy community I’ve started to connect with. I’ve gotten hooked on candle magic, as you may have guessed from my tri-candle cord cutting ritual as well as dressing the candles with herbs.
This is the first spell I felt comfortable sharing, which is a little funny seeing as it’s one of the more personal ones I’ve written.
Recognizing your trans identity later in life brings a unique set of challenges to each individual depending on their situation. One aspect of my situation that I may never write of publicly beyond this has been a constant source of pain.
Finally I understand it, finally I have integrated it, finally, I am ready to fiercely love with the entirety of my heart once more.
Spell Preparation
Although pink is usually the default for love spells, I went with red as I am really seeking a passionate romance, a magical mesh of energies that will burn through even the darkest days. I inscribed a small Wunjo or Joy rune in the base.
While grinding the rose petals in my mortar and pestle I reflected further what I was seeking in my future relationship, really locking in my vision to an incredible future.
I applied a few drops of a citrus essential oil blend and then applied the ground petals.
I used rose Quartz, clear quartz and bloodstone for my ritual, however I’d advise you to use YOUR favorite crystals. Chose the crystals that resonate most with you, that match your energy and place them around the candle. That way YOUR energy will be infused with the spell.
One sword entered,
Piercing my heart
Another soon followed,
Rending beauty apart.A third through the center
Yet an absence of pain:
Sensations all numb
All struggles in vain.A love that is toxic,
Conditional, restrained
A love filled with anger,
Frustration and blame;
Is not love worth seeking
Seek love that is true,
Love with compassion
And romance anewLet the blades pierce
Hidden weakness and sorrows
Integrating their lessons
For brighter tomorrowsMy heart can’t be fixed,
For it was never broken,
My love remains true,
In the tale yet unspoken.
Stay Magical
