Hello.

You have fallen into my not so hidden “How do I increase my odds of trans folk hearing a specific message, without just spamming it on all channels” trap. If you’re cis please feel free to read on and share with your trans friends or loved one(s).

Right now, things are scary and it is easier than ever to get overwhelmed.

If you’re trans (or questioning your gender) and you need a trans person to chat with: my inbox is open. I’m happy to text, call, hop on a game (if I have it), really just let me know your communication preference when you email and I’ll accommodate as much as I’m able. If there’s enough interest I may set up a discord to have a mini supportive safe community.

If you need empathy I’m your gal. A compassionate friend for a virtual hug? You got it. Deeply dysphoric? I’ve got some tricks that may help. Venting about how your anxiety or depression is being a real B today? I’ve been there sister/brother/bean. But all that said:

If you’re in crisis, or are facing serious struggles and need local support, if you reach out I will tell you you’re heard, seen, respected and loved as sincerely as I would to any of my friends, but I WILL insist you speak with someone better equipped and qualified to help.

My default suggestion is Trans Lifeline.

With them, there’s no non-consensual emergency services, the operators are always Trans and they will only refer you to vetted resources in your area. Even if you’re not in crisis they can be an incredible resource when you just need an understanding ear for hard topics.

Sometimes the lines can be busy though, THRIVE Lifeline is a great text based warmline that can sometimes be enough, or at least plug the gap till you get through to Trans Lifeline.
