Happy Full Moon Eve Friends!
Welcome to the first of my monthly newsletters/blog posts! I have a couple static categories that will generally be here each month, however as I learn and grow with this community I hope to bring more of what you want! Please reach out in the comments or via email with any thoughts, concerns, suggestions, etc. I’m looking forward to making these posts about what everyone wants and needs not exclusively what I want to share.

I’m so grateful to you for being here, to call this a labor of love almost feels like an insult. This is the culmination of so much planning, so many late nights researching, many more troubleshooting and forever more refining, to not even mention the life experience that inspired it, that even in the current incredibly limited state, with maybe 5-10 people reading, I am so happy to finally be ready to start sharing. You will certainly get tired of hearing how grateful to the Goddess I am for all of Her magic, but this post marks the beginning of the repayment of the debt I owe Her and through sharing Her magic and knowledge with you; I aim to honor my pledge.

Tarot Tale: New deck attunement

A short time ago I got a new deck the Past Life Oracle Deck. As a trans individual who also always felt like an old soul, or like I was born in the wrong generation, like there were echoes of a past I needed to heed, I thought that this could be an amazing deck for me to work with and was so excited when it came in. When it finally arrived I eagerly looked over the cards, noting the ones that called to me, getting a first impression. It was an easy deck to work with, assuming you know how to properly reflect on their simple yet complex premise.

As I began to mix the cards one of them flew off the table as if possessed and fell face down on the floor. Leaning over to pick it up, I knew that this card was going to be important, this card was going to tell me how attuned to this deck I might become. Taking a deep breath, I picked it up, turned it over and saw between my fingers: my hand holding my child’s hand on the Father card. The magic of this moment was incredibly profound and healing and I was grateful the cards seemed as eager to work with me as I them.

Finishing my mix, I drew a single card, as I always did. I wasn’t going to count the Father as fulfilling the traditional final step of my “new cards” ritual, the card drawn?

Phobias

Yeaaaaaah this deck’s a keeper.

Intent: To soothe

This months primary crafting intent is to soothe with a focus on old wounds. The type of wounds that can never fully heal, the ones that always ache when conditions are just wrong. I expect to manifest lots of healing magic through this, but really hope to reach those deep almost forgotten scars with at least one spell. Might have to stock up on some extra rose quartz can never have enough of this wonderful stuff if you ask me, and when you buy it in bulk, it’s not as nice as going to a store and buying the one that calls to you… But you do get to find a few that call to you-and then have lots of gifts to share!! Win win if you ask this witch.

And while we’re talking magic and crystals, something I hope to offer soon is stones and crystals that have been enchanted by my spells and encased in wax, or in a wax sealed envelope. Card of the month: Page of Wands

With an honorable mention for the King of Wands-as he was originally going to be the pick. Reason why I’ll cover quickly-some time ago I drew him while crafting a spell aimed at advancing a career, and he puzzled me. Was he me? Was he the leader I needed to seek to learn from next? In the early steps of this adventure I feared it would end with my forced ascension to the throne I did not seek nor understand.

Which is why I picked the Page instead. In my hands down favorite tarot deck The Modern Witch I think I found my answer. Where the King is a mighty ruler, upon their throne controlling, shaping and advancing the plan per the big design, nothing escaping their steely gaze… The Page, even in a desolate rocky desert, was free. She was on an adventure, hair pulled back, unaware of her true potential, when suddenly something remarkable happens, her walking stick starts growing new green leaves. She did not yet know the power and inspiration that was within her grasp, literally just before her eyes is the boundless potential of magic, growth, creation and limitless discovery. All on the edge, just waiting for her to follow the the call and seize her potential.
