Signature Spell Series #3

Winds are blowing,

they activate change.

Winds are raging,

They push us offstage.

You cannot stop nurturing,

The heart or the soul.

Gaia’s green blessings,

In time make both whole.

Alone or in packs,

Let the storm not distract.

Keep instinct intact,

And the spirit on track.

Let the blessing uplift,

Let the blessing ignite,

Let the blessing protect,

Let the blessing mean light,

For the storm feels raging,

And the storm feels strange.

Til we awake onstage,

And appreciate our change

This is the area where I’d tell you about the specific intent, artifacts, cards or reagents used in the crafting of the spell, or a description of how the finished spell is cast as well as any other relevant notes.

For my first few (five) spells that I will be sharing, the spells that guided and shaped my awakening, I will instead share the tale of how they came to be (If you’d like more stories like this head over to my Patreon today!):

Spell #2 was about advancing from stagnation, this spell stands proudly on those shoulders and was about real growth.

This spell was almost not a spell. If you’re familiar with card readings, this spell came from one of those spreads that makes you go “Excuse me mystical other side, but did I give you permission to CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT!” and at the time, with the intent that I had set out with, I was not ready for their message.

I still recorded an initial reaction before hiking back. An initial reaction that echoed in the back of my mind for weeks, one of the cards in particular I saw only one possible interpretation in the context… and in not pursing this spell, I felt the Goddess grow angry I was avoiding her order.

Because it was just that. It was an order. An order that I will simply relay the way it was recorded in my initial reflection:

“The RB is a call to me-to share natures blessings, a call I must heed”

Ignoring that call for weeks drove me insane as the Goddess refused to grant me any further magic or insight, my cards betrayed me, my hands betrayed me, so I finally said “Alright you win” and went back to the spot I’d abandoned to finish answering the call.

Replacing the oracle cards of the original spread, I placed a few cards from my Carnival of Time Tarot around them and stayed in that spot until the spell was finished, and I was sure She would be satisfied with the result.

It would still be sometime before I truly understood the call to share (as evidenced by the date this post goes live) but She honored my efforts and returned to being my guide, guardian, muse and Goddess without any further protest. Hopefully NOW she’ll stop haunting me with a particular card about cups.

Blessed be.
